IDEF is one of the most prestigious defence industry exhibitions in the world. High-level state and private sector officials from all geographies of the world participate in IDEF. In order to understand the scope of IDEF, if we take the previous exhibition as a reference, IDEF 2023 was one of the top three defence industry exhibitions in the world with 1,461 exhibitors from 54 countries. 738 delegation members from 187 delegations participated in the exhibition; 5,397 planned meetings and 141 signing ceremonies were held. In total, the exhibition hosted 94,198 visitors from 107 countries, demonstrating its position among similar organisations around the world. The products exhibited for the first time at IDEF 2023 were taken into inventory and/or exported shortly after the exhibition, once again proving the strength of the fair.

We continue our efforts for the development of developing and friendly countries lacking access to technology with our vision of a strong and guiding Türkiye. We believe here is the path to permanent peace in our region.

In other words, by introducing the latest technology of Turkish engineering to the service of these countries, we both provide our country with a high value-added export and production opportunity, and serve the establishment of permanent peace in our region by democratising technology. We are also ready to share our know-how and innovation capabilities in order to meet the technological needs of friendly and allied countries, to develop and produce together, to be a solution partner and to extend a hand.

Under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, IDEF 2025, being held for the 17th time this year with the aim of finding new markets, grasping business opportunities and establishing business partnerships for the main industry and SMEs operating in the fields of military, civilian, defence, aerospace, cyber security and space, we aim to break a historical record with the number of visitors, the number of delegations, the number of exhibitors and the number of signing ceremonies to be held, and to combine our experience and achievements with our new concept. As worthy of its name, we expect IDEF 2025 International Defence Industry Fair, to be a fair where its international quality will reach its peak.

We expect high-level meetings with officials from invited countries to serve as a valuable platform for reviewing ongoing cooperation with nations heavily involved in defence industry partnerships with us, and for taking meaningful steps towards new initiatives and collaborations. We will be proud to share our platforms and products, proven themselves in the field by our defence and security forces, exported to many countries and used successfully, with the whole world at IDEF 2025.
