IDEF 2027 – the 18th International Defence Industry Fair will bring together the global actors of the defence and security ecosystem at the Istanbul Expo Center on 3–9 May 2027.
Hosted by the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye, supported by the Presidency of Defence Industries of the Republic of Türkiye, held under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, and organized by KFA Fuarcılık A.Ş., IDEF 2027 stands as a global platform where the most advanced defence and security technologies—primarily land, naval, and air systems—will be showcased.
Ranked among the world's most prestigious defence industry events, IDEF brings together state representatives, military and civilian delegations, decision-makers, defence industry companies, and technology developers under one roof, fostering strategic and sustainable cooperation.
Through panels, seminars, signing ceremonies, and product launch events held throughout the fair, IDEF aims to enhance sectoral knowledge sharing and strengthen engagement among defence industry stakeholders.
IDEF 2025, held with record-breaking figures, hosted 1,491 companies from 49 countries, 229 official delegations from 100 countries and international organizations, and more than 120,000 visitors from 114 countries—once again demonstrating its prestigious and strategic position within the international defence industry ecosystem.
Building on the strong momentum achieved in 2025, IDEF 2027 aims to set a new benchmark in international defence cooperation while contributing to Türkiye's defence industry vision and its high-technology-driven production capacity. By generating renewed momentum in global defence partnerships, the fair will continue to position Istanbul as one of the key meeting hubs of the global defence industry in 2027.
IDEF 2025, the 17<span class="align-top text-sm">th</span> International Defence Industry Fair, will meet with participants and visitors in Istanbul from July 22-27, 2025.
The IDEF 2025 17<span class="align-top text-sm">th</span> International Defence Industry Fair will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center from July 22-27, 2025, hosted by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, supported by the Presidency of Defence Industries, and organized by KFA Fairs Organization Inc., under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
IDEF is an event where state and private sector officials from all corners of the world come together to showcase and discover new products and technologies. In 2023, the fair hosted 1,461 participating companies from 54 countries and 94,198 professional visitors from 107 countries. In addition to participants and visitors, 187 delegations from 78 countries and 3 international organizations were hosted, with 141 signature ceremonies taking place for national and international contracts. The fair aims to bring together participants and professional visitors from every region in 2025 as well and is continuing its preparations for the upcoming year.
Maintaining its prestigious position among the world's defence industry fairs, IDEF aims to combine its experience and successes with new concepts in 2025. Participants and professional visitors from all around the world are eagerly anticipating the IDEF 2025 International Defence Industry Fair.
We proudly concluded IDEF 2025, the most prestigious event of our defence industry and the most significant reflection of the breakthroughs our defence industry has achieved in recent years.

Additionally, the fair hosted 6,301 scheduled meetings, 270 signing ceremonies, and achieved a contract volume of approximately 9 billion USD.
IDEF 2025, where the unique synergy our Nation and State have created in recent years in the field of national defense was carried onto the global stage, brought together participating companies, delegations, committees, and experts from different continents, strengthening its claim to be the most ‘inclusive’ platform in the global defense industry market.
First and foremost, I extend my gratitude to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for his visionary leadership that made this success possible.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our Ministry of National Defense and our Minister Mr. Yaşar Güler for their hosting and unwavering support, to our Presidency of Defense Industries—the strategic force behind our significant advancements in the defense industry and IDEF—and to our esteemed President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün for standing by us with his support at every stage of the process.
I would like to thank our General Staff; the Land Forces Command, the Naval Forces Command, the Air Forces Command; the Gendarmerie General Command, the General Directorate of Security, and the Coast Guard Command; as well as all our Foundation companies that have become global leaders in their designated strategic areas and their esteemed executives for their cooperation and support.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the employees of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes of the IDEF organization for nearly two years, to all our stakeholders and subcontractors, especially KFA Fuarcılık A.Ş., and to my young colleagues who have contributed to operational tasks in the field. We have turned this intensity, which could only be overcome with national passion and excitement, into a pleasant fatigue together.
Being aware of the responsibility of the duty we have undertaken and the trust we have assumed, we praise Allah for granting us the opportunity to serve our nation and our state.
As the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, we will continue to work with determination towards the goal of a fully independent defence industry, prioritizing above all else the unity and solidarity of our army and nation, and the well-being of our country.
